The Zion Eye Institute is proud to sponsor "Mission Cataract," a program that provides cataract surgery to patients who would be blind without the procedure. Patients who qualify for this program must show that they are uninsured and cannot afford the surgery otherwise.
Another community service program provided by the Zion Eye Institute is known as OPTICARE. We seek to meet the needs of senior citizens from Cedar City, Utah to Mesquite, Nevada, by traveling throughout the cities to various senior centers, RV parks, convalescent homes, and community health fairs offering free cataract and glaucoma screenings as well as vision wellness information.
Furthermore, to assist you with the protection of your vision, the Zion Eye Institute offers free screenings for glaucoma, cataracts, and corrective laser surgery, including LASIK.Additional service projects
