R. Jeffrey Parker, M.D. was born in Provo, Utah, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He received his M.D. degree from St. Louis University of Medicine and served his internship at the St. Johns Mercy Medical Complex in St. Louis. His residency in General Ophthalmology took place at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where he subsequently became an Associate Fellow on the staff. Dr. Parker then completed his Vitreoretinal Fellowship and was Assistant Instructor at The Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute. He was Chief of Ophthalmology at Sunrise Hospital of Las Vegas from 1989-1997. Dr. Parker is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and National Board of Medical Examiners. He is The retinal specialist for the Zion Eye Institute.
