
Dr. Patel is from London, England. He graduated from The University of London and The University of Liverpool in England. He completed a residency in General and Plastic Surgery in Merceyside, England and subsequently completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He then trained as a Fellow with the leading Oculoplastic, Orbital, Lacrimal and Facial surgeons in England for a year before working with similar leading surgeons in the United States. He is A Fellow of The Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Glasgow. The Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists of England. He is certified by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Journals. He has published over 70 original medical articles and written over 25 book chapters and books. He has had the opportunity to lecture in over 30 countries and operates in charitable institutions in Africa, Europe and Asia. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Utah. His expertise encompasses diseases of the orbit, the lacrimal system, the eyelids, the face and facial cosmetic surgery.
